Dan and Susie Kirlin, of Boulder Colorado, have lost part of their land to an ex-judge/ex-mayor and his lawyer wife. Richard McLean and his wife Edith Stevens
sued and using a old law, adverse possession, were able to take land away
from the couple.
Couple looses their property
Of course, I'm not a lawyer, but... Reading this article sure strikes a
chord with me, and by looking at the comments with a lot of other people.
Comments entered in the story above so far are things such as:
- Why is it OK to trespass and on someone else's property for 25 years?
- Why is it that Google's Map has no indication of a path?
- Why is it that no one has even seen them using the property?
- Why is that even though they claim to have used the land (trespass) for many years they have not pictures of the many parties they have had there?
